- Job Summary The Duty Engineer – Mechanical Electrical is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel's mechanical and electrical systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, quick response to maintenance issues, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including HVAC, pumps, lighting, power distribution, and other hotel infrastructure
- Respond promptly to guest requests and engineering service calls
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reports, and log
- Troubleshoot and resolve M&E problems to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, and environmental regulations
- Support preventive maintenance programs and initiatives
- Assist in energy conservation projects and identify opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest comfort
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in all plant rooms and work areas
- Requirements
- Minimum D3/S1 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- At least 2 years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance
- Solid knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems
- Familiar with fire protection systems, HVAC systems, and building automation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and technical documents
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, maintenance software)
