- Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance Technician – Kitchen & Laundry to support the Engineering Department in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all kitchen and laundry equipment. This role is vital in maintaining equipment performance, safety, and reliability to support hotel operations at the highest standard of luxury.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all kitchen and laundry equipment (e.g., ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure proper functioning of gas lines, steam systems, water supply, drainage, and exhaust systems related to kitchen and laundry operations
- Work closely with other engineering and housekeeping team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and urgent repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, spare parts usage, and equipment history
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in all repair and maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Kitchen, Laundry, and other relevant departments
- Support overall engineering operations when required outside of kitchen and laundry scope
- Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum 2–3 years) in general maintenance, preferably in hotel or hospitality industry
- Strong technical knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to read equipment manuals and technical drawings
- Physically fit and able to work in hot, noisy, and humid environments
- Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- High attention to detail, responsible, and committed to safety
- Minimum SMK/Technical Vocational School graduate or equivalent
